WEEK 8 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

I achieved making strawberry with a biscuit filling in the inside. We added Hershey chocolate sauce over the filling hole to add more taste to it.

What challenges did I have?

The challenges were, making sure the strawberry filling hole wouldn't go to deep other wise the filling would fall out and make it a mess.

What am I going to work on next week?

We are going to work on making the treat something that's not so bitter. Also we are going to work on the way we form it and how we do it.

WEEK 7 REFLECTION

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found my writing hard because I wasn't here the 2 first days we did it so I didn't know where to start. Anther reason is because I didn't know what the main idea was when we started.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I asked the teacher to explain the main idea. I also asked some friends like Eilish and summer to help me.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?
I am most proud of my math because I tried my hardest to do halving and doubling. It kinda hard to because we have not done it in a while.


Why are you proud if it?
I'm proud because Of the ones I completed most of them were correct for my first try at them. Some I made a mistake but I fixed it quickly before it was called out

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found math hard. I found math hard because we were racing miss harsent
on a times task.How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?
I focused on what i was doing. Another way I had over came it because I had worked some of them out in other sheets but I didn't copy them because my book was shut,What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?
I am most proud my writing. I am most proud of my writing because I added a lot of detail to my main sentences In the power graphs

Why are you proud if it?
I am proud because I added new words that I've never used before to make it detailed. I'm also proud because I've made my power graphs big.

WEEK 6 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We started to make Oreo truffle's. What we had to do to make them is, crush the Oreo's then add cheese cream mix it together then make balls with them. We also added some chocolate chips In for a extra taste.

What challenges did I have?

The challenges we're crunching the Oreo truffle's up because we had no rolling pin to make it easier so we had to use our hands. Another challenge was forming the ball's because with the Oreo's some was not crunched up properly which made it square.

What am I going to work on next week?

We are going to work on making sure the project is done properly.  Another thing we could work on was not being distracted so we get It done In time

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found my writing sample hard because I didn't know much to add for information.

I asked for some help. If I didn't ask for help I would search up some stuff at home.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

I am most proud of my math.

Why are you proud if it?

I am the most proud of my math because... I was good at the strategy we did even though i needed help I did good at some others by my self.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found math hard. I found math hard because we had to do takeaways with decimals but the one we took away on the decimal was bigger than the starter number and I didn't know what to do. 

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I stayed down on the mat for a while. I also then went to sit with a friend and we worked together.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

My writing. I think my writing because of the detail I put into the paragraphs.

Why are you proud if it?

I'm also proud of how I made the main details about the Japanese Puffer Fish and did show not tell.

Our passion project succeed because we got all of the main words that you need to know

We went to websites that help us learn the language like duo lingo and it taught us how to do the basics.

What are you most proud of with your passion project?

Our presenting and pronunciation. Also, the rating in total we got 113 which made us very happy and made us think this was a great idea.

SYMMETRY

Explain what you now know about symmetry.  Try and use mathematical words to explain.

Symmetry Is when you make a picture and both sides look the same Like a mirror. There is a line down the middle.

Explain what you know about rotation…

I know that when you rotate you are moving something around in circles so it shows in a different angel.

Reflection is when there’s a shape and on the other side it’s a mirror.

Explain what a tessellation is…

It is a pattern on something and it doesn't have a gap between the shapes.

REFLECTION

What are you most proud of with you geometry learning this term?

My Symmetry because I made sure the picture was all symmetry and it was.

Why?

I like it because Even know it took me a few days I took my time and checked what was right also because of the design I think it's a cool idea even know lots of other people did it.

What was the most challenging with our geometry learning? The most challenging thing was Translation. I think translation because It was really hard and I needed to get help.

Why?

     I didn't know what translation was even known I learnt it I still didn't know much about it because I kept on getting distracted so I moved away but by then It was lost from my mind

We achieved learning a family conversation like good night good morning,

whats for dinner? and whats for lunch?

What challenges did I have?

Our challenges were how to say them I got a bit confused but Temperance is Ok at it.

What am I going to work on next week?

We are going to work on learning a conversation with someone new.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

Math because of the rounding up decimals and rounding down decimals. Then I forgot to go down to the mat for help if I needed it.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I could of by going to the mat. I decided to work it out on a different page of my book. Other wise asked the teacher for help in the group.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

My writing because... I have made sure I had full stops and capital letters. I also tried to get time to be able to edit some of it.

Why are you proud if it?

Because of the editing I got done. Another reason is because all the power graphs I made the teachers let me use and my buddy thought it was good to.

Science in a Van

What did you learn about at science in a Van?
Smaller the weight the further it goes. Gravity Can go anyway. When you swim or walk you are pushing
gravity forwards and backwards. When you jump Gravity pushes you down. If you look at something like
a Spiny thing the swirls around then look at someone head it gets bigger because Your eyes stop working
and they see different things.

Who was the man behind the laws of motion?
Steve the chicken aka after it was a baby chicken.

What did you find interesting about Science in a Van

I found the gravity things interesting. The spiny wheel was cool to because of the heads growing bigger.

What was the best joke the presenters told?
The chicken Lives in the k f c box.

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We achieved to get some work done on the website duo lingo like how to say the woman is rich or the boy the boy the woman the man.

What challenges did I have?

Remembering some of the words because we have not been doing Passion project for long. also we need to work on it more.

What am I going to work on next week?

Still going on duo lingo to do a bit more practise because we definitely need to learn a bit more of the language. we also Should maybe do some at home To learn a lot more so then we could add it on our blog on passion project day.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

Math's because I got stuck in adding them up and the 100 decimals because I didn't

get what we had to do in the decimals to how to add the 100's

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I asked a friend to help me on thee 100's. For adding I worked them out in my head.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

My writing about a robbery at a Bright blue home. Also about a jail in the end as well.

Why are you proud if it?

I'm proud of it because I made sure I had added a noun and detail. Also full stops and capital letters.

WEEK 6 REFLECTION

What did I achieve this week during Passion Project time?

We achieved a day conversation Like hi how are you good bye what for lunch whats for dinner and good night it was very fun learning new things in a language so now I could talk to my friends in my french and they wont know what I'm saying

but I can tell them what it means.

What challenges did I have?

The challenges we had were pronouncing them because some I didn't know how to say it
and I've never heard of it and when the transition said it but temperance was fine couldn't under stand for what It was saying for some of them that same with temperance.

What am I going to work on next week?

I'm going to work on doing it as homework so when we get home we start trying to pronounce it so then when we share it if people ask how to say it we can say it right

The plane finally lifted we finally took off. I was just catching some sleep but there was an announcement for anyone who needed food. So I woke up and ordered a coffee and a sandwich So Mr. Koala went back to the food kitchen. He panted because he was in a rush to get us food when he got there he gasped '' Where is the food! '' All the other workers went silent for a moment. Mr. Koala had to complain to Captain Polar Bear.  They were both very annoyed all the other workers got a punishment ''they sighed ''they had to clean the plates, cups and everything else like that. 

A few moments later I was moaning and groaning " I NEED FOOD!!!!!! Luckily the captain had spare food. I asked if I could try something  He said " sure first I need to ask Fiona. My face was in shock " Fiona is here can I move beside her? "sure" so I moved to the spare seat beside her.  Suddenly the captain forgot about driving " uh I need to go! He rushed back to drive the plain. Everyone wondered whats going on. We were lucky he gave us the food in time and saved the plane from falling.

As me and Fiona took a bite " ewe " it was a tuna and chicken sandwich so we stopped eating and threw. A few moments later I was fast asleep but captain polar bear made an announcement. Now landing so please get your stuff and exit the plain when we land I hope you enjoyed your flight on animal airline!

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

Math because I didn't know how to add decimals.

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I asked for help and tried to keep on working them out in my head. Or I added them up on a opposite peace of paper and worked it out.

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

My writing because I think that all the detail is really good and I made sure I added fan boys.

Why are you proud if it?

Because I added quit a few fanboys and made sure I edited lots of stuff to add more detail.

What Learning did you find challenging this week?

I found the Writing a bit hard at the start because I didn't

know what to write about but then I found something to write about. 📝

How did you use a growth mindset to overcome these learning challenges?

I didn't give up because I knew that one day I would find out something to do instead or just

strait away saying I cant do this its to hard!

What is the piece of the work you are most proud of this week?

I'm actually very proud of my writing because I was giving up but I didn't I carried on.

Why are you proud if it?

Because I have added lost of detail to it and I remember full stops and capital

letters and I have also remember to check my spelling.

CHILDRENS DAY

CHILDREN'S DAY 2018

What were the best parts of Children's Day?

Making a sand castle was really fun and getting free time!

Why?

because we got a fun challenge to do. Also free time because then we also got to spend time with friends there buddies and your own buddy all together.

How?

By making new friends in different classes and spending time with a new buddy. Also, by respecting nature by not throwing rubbish everywhere.
